According to the Law on the Professional Organization of Master Pharmacists BPhU Managing Board has created and currently manages National e-register of BPhU members. Under the Law on the Professional Organization of Master Pharmacists and Health Act all persons who are entitled to exercise their profession as pharmacists on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria are registered in the BPhU National e-register. Pharmacists’ membership who do not exercise their profession in the Republic of Bulgaria and temporarily residing abroad is voluntary.

The National e-register of BPhU members is publicly available on BPhU official website and it provides real-time information on the pharmacists’ names from the BPhU National e-register, pharmacists’ Unique Identification Number, the regional pharmaceutical chamber where the pharmacists are registered and on which territory of the regional pharmaceutical chamber they are entitled to exercise their profession, and any administrative sanctions imposed. The National e-register of BPhU members provides also additional information unless the pharmacist has self-activated it from her/his personal profile such as personal picture of the pharmacist, employment address, career development, telephone and e-mail.

The National e-register is managed in compliance with legislative acts and mandatory directions observed by the personal data controllers and the registers kept by them in the field of personal data protection. The Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union is registered as personal data controller with certificate No 0038332/02.08.2007, issued by the Commission for personal data protection.
